I have been giving myself 2 or 3 small goals per day, that aren't always associated with diet and exercise. This is honestly helping me feel more productive. I often feel overwhelmed by small tasks (doing dishes, making phone calls, etc). So this system is working for right now.
I decided to purchase the Quantum scale today. I realized that my scale was not functioning, even after changing the batteries. It tells me a different weight, varying wildly (well 2 lbs), but I need more accuracy than that. So, the Quantum Scale is an interesting concept that I hope works for me. The whole premise of the scale is that it actually never tells you your weight. And odd concept for a scale, what it does do, is tell you how much you have lost from your initial weigh in. I am debating restarting this process every 10 lbs. I always feel better when I break goals down into smaller chucks. Lose 30 lbs seems like so much. Losing 10lbs...not as scary. So once my new scale reaches -10. I start it over and repeat. :) We'll see if this work. I also do like the idea of seeing a larger number on there. -29 would be kind of awesome. We'll see how I feel once I receive it. They are currently sold out and not getting any more until Jan. 22. So I will continue with my wonky scale until then.
